{Summer of Love} Unique Engagement Gifts

Wedding and engagement parties are the best way to celebrate the happy couple before their big day. For many couples, close friends or family will throw them a fabulous party within a couple months of making the annoucement to get hitched. I'm celebrating a close friends engagement this week and this started me on the path to find a perfect gift. There are many personalized gifts and sentimental gifts out there. Take time to find a gift that is different than a gift found on a wedding gift registry. This gift can be small or large. Remember to save the blender for the bridal shower but a wine set is sweet for the engagement party.

Check out some fun ideas I found below. Gifts are optional but you can also bring a nice card to share your sweetest wishes with them.

SPECIAL EDITION || Iris D Bridal Boutique Grand Opening

Veils, dresses, and jewelry – Oh My! Tempe, Arizona now has a new bridal boutique to satisfy any blushing bride’s needs. Today was the grand opening of the Iris D Bridal boutique and Blueprint Affairs was on-site to take in all the trendy wedding fashions. Iris Drevet, Owner of Iris D Bridal has branded herself through her online store until now to bring Arizona brides a place to call home. The boutique offers custom bridal, bridesmaid, and flower girl dresses, veils, ceremony items, and jewelry to fit any girl’s dreams. Their boutique is located at 520 West Warner Road, Tempe, AZ 85284 (easily accessible off I-10 and Warner Road)

Working with vendors across the valley, I’m thrilled to see the networking take place by some of my preferred vendors. The beautiful flower décor provided by Ever After Florals highlighted the roomy fitting rooms and open show room. Then, I quickly rested my eyes on the custom cookies by Couture Cookie Company that are so delicious. Laura Segall Photography, Curtis Whipple, Snap Booth and a few other wedding vendors have already discovered this soon-to-be valley favorite for all brides and their bridal party.

Take an hour and stop by to take advantage of the 25% discount on everything in the store for today and tomorrow only!

Love Love || Thank You Gifts for Parents

Saying ‘Thank You’ are the most powerful words to hear. Think about the hard work you’ve done while planning your wedding and don’t forget to thank your parents. The Mother of the Bride or MOB has helped you along the way since you first got engaged. The Father of the Bride or FOB has probably worried about this moment since you were born. There are so many emotions in place during your wedding day and then you join lives with your new husband. Your wedding day is all about wedding vows, great speeches, wedding toasts, wedding cake, first dances, and bringing together your two families. Keep those great milestones in mind and remember your parents who are trying to catch up with your move into married life.

The truth in thanking your parents is they want to be appreciated. It’s up to you to take this on. If you struggled with your parents during planning, remember its proper etiquette to thank them, and you could really surprise them with your thoughtful actions. You may have a large or small budget for thanking your parents but make sure you do something that’s special. I love those Priceless commercials from Mastercard and I challenge you to think of creative ways to say ‘Thank You’. No matter what, your words or actions will be priceless.

Priceless
